The three sections explained

1. Numerical reasoning
Read a table or chart, do the maths on paper, then adjust an interactive chart to match your answer: drag points on a line graph, resize pie wedges, or set stacked-bar segments. How the Agoda SHL test is scored
G+ uses Item Response Theory (IRT). Harder questions are worth more, and the test adapts: answer correctly and the next item gets harder (and more valuable). Your raw answers become an ability estimate, which is reported as a percentile against a comparison group, not a simple 'X out of 24'. Practically, this means two things:
- Don't panic when it gets hard. Rising difficulty is a sign you're doing well.
- Never leave anything blank. There is no penalty for a wrong answer, so a guess always beats an omission.
A timing strategy that actually works

How to prepare in a week

- Drill your weak section. Reverse percentages and constraint-mapping are the two most common failure points. Repeat them until automatic.
- Always practise with the timer on. Untimed practice builds false confidence; pressure changes everything.
- Calculate before you interact. Never drag or type until you already know the number. Fishing on the chart wastes time and introduces errors.
